C-Suite Retreat
Total Disconnect | Perspective & Clarity | Low Carbon | Big Picture Thinking
3 days (suggested)
Our bespoke C-Suite Retreats help you and your top team find the time and space to align your vision and leadership with your CSR agenda, strengthening your team culture and demonstrating a clear planet-positive commitment to your organisation and stakeholders.
With the world changing rapidly, those businesses that thrive will be the ones that embrace responsible, regenerative strategies that actively make the world a better place. A Bioasis C-Suite retreat offers the luxury of time and space in nature, with no distractions, so you can crack those big strategic issues and chart a course through the climate and biodiversity crises.
Set in a stunning natural landscape of wildflower meadows, ancient woodland, salt marshes and rivers, we harness the power of nature to bring you together as a team and help you fully disconnect from the noise of the everyday.

Is a Bioasis C-Suite Retreat for you?
Our C-Suite Retreats are fully bespoke.

You'll have sole use of one of our off-grid basecamps, a private chef and your own wild guides to ensure you get the most out of your stay with us.
We know you will need some time to discuss the big issues in your organisation, but we also have a range of activities to help with that all important inspiration and perspective for your own discussions.
Whether it's hands-on conservation work, canoe journeys, nature walks, bushcraft sessions or ocean plastics workshops (and lots more besides), our wild guides and facilitators will be on hand to bring the natural landscape to life and help you feel nourished and invigorated.

We're not a luxury hotel.
And that's exactly why our retreats are so special, and their impact so powerful.

What to expect...
Finding the Balance: Powered by solar electrics and with access to screen and projector, we can allow as much or as little time for 'official' work as you wish. But... if we're honest, that's not why you should come to The Bioasis.
The real magic of this place is in what surrounds basecamp, so whilst we understand you'll have an agenda you want to cover, we'd also ask that you allow us to indulge you:
Canoeing, nature walks, conservation work, talks on land-management and supply chains, stories of inspirational personal journeys, woodland meditation, sunset spots and star gazing, fireside discussions, team-building challenges, animal tracking, bat detectors, trail cameras and more - our team can build a programme designed around your needs, interests and desired outcomes. Please call to discuss requirements.
Location: South Devon.

Fitness expectations: This is an outdoor based, active retreat, but there is no requirement for previous outdoor/adventure experience. The walk into basecamp is at least an hour and other walks could range from 4 - 10 kms, covering a mix of terrain such as woodland and estuary trails. There are a few hills. If we're canoeing (which is highly recommended) then you'll share the paddling. Full instruction will be given and you'll have a qualified canoe guide with you at all times. The conservation work involves the use of hand tools to clear scrub and invasive species.

Your Bioasis team: You’ll be under the watchful eye of our experienced outdoor facilitators and wild guides who will provide professional insights and support throughout, ensuring a safe and enriching experience for all.

Suggested Programme
Company minutes and conservation work
Day 1:

-
AM: Arrive late morning, meet your Bioasis leader and set off on foot into The Bioasis. Your bags will be transferred to basecamp by 4x4. The walk into basecamp usually takes at least an hour. On the way, your guide will set the scene for the days ahead and explore individual goals and interests.

-
PM: Arrive at basecamp and settle in. Afternoon strategy session with your team, followed by an orientation of the area, dinner and evening around the fire pit. Optional session on bat detectors as the sunsets, or an inspirational expedition tale from one of the Bioasis crew.

Day 2:

-
AM: Pre-breakfast woodland meditation, grounding you in the natural landscape and awakening the senses. After breakfast and depending on tide times, have a short morning session with your team before heading off into the estate for a classic Bioasis 'walkie-talkie'. Walking and nature are well documented to aid communication, encouraging creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, important attributes when problem-solving. Lunch at basecamp.

-
PM: Short walk to the estuary before heading out on canoes upstream. Look out for wildlife including kingfishers, oyster catchers, otters, deer and more. On return, hear from a local expert in ocean plastics - a great way to prompt discussions on supply chains and the use of biomimicry in your organisations. Dinner and evening around the fire pit. Optional after dinner speaker.

Day 3:

-
AM: Pre-breakfast woodland reflection. After breakfast have a morning session with your team before getting stuck in to some hands on conservation work - usually the removal of invasive plant species such as Rhododendron. As a team, we'll use hard work and hand tools to have a positive impact on the environment. Invasive species are a great way to understand how inadvertent decisions can have an adverse impact for generations to come. Return to basecamp for lunch.

-
PM: Optional final session with your team, before packing, loading your bags into the 4x4s and walking back out of The Bioasis to your vehicles and your journey home.
"Superb, sustainable, environmentally-focused set-up. Stayed for a week, and didn't want to leave! Adrian, Tara and Hayley were incredible hosts, helping us to thrive despite the weather's best efforts! Highly recommended..."

"Sometimes the best way to move forward is to step back, shift the lens, breathe, and see the bigger picture. When we zoom out, problems shrink, gratitude grows, and fresh ideas flood in. If you need inspiration on how to do that in the wildest, most meaningful way possible, check out The Bioasis in Devon!"
