Welcome to Our World
Space to think differently
Away from the every day, The Bioasis is a wild landscape that encourages energy, ideas & innovation to flourish. For change to take root.

the landscape
The Bioasis is hidden in a unique corner of the South West, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
Ancient woodlands and wildflower meadows line the winding river, which flows out through salt marshes and a remote estuary to the waiting sea.

It's a 1,200 acre living breathing landscape for you to re-connect, thrive, grow and look to the future.
the journey
Leaving vehicles behind and setting off on foot, you'll be immersed in nature for the duration of your stay. Off-grid, away from mobiles and mirrors, surrounded by biodiversity, sunsets and stars, the multi-day immersive nature of our programmes is a transformational experience.

Whether you're a school or a business, we've got a selection of brilliant & bespoke programmes.

Our basecamps
Our low-impact, solar powered basecamps offer comfortable communal living, fresh-cooked organic food, firepits, composting toilets and hot showers. Where remoteness, adventure and comfort meet.

Think full field kitchens, organic, seasonal meals sourced from Riverford Organics, comfy camp beds and open fires under the night sky. All the while, surrounded by wildlife and wildflowers, silence and stars.

Accommodation: Accommodation is gender separated multi-occupancy tents.. We provide cot-style 'off-the-floor' camp beds.

Communal dining: All food is provided and cooked fresh on site. Mealtimes are an important opportunity to connect and recount the days adventures.

Composting Toilets: Forget the nightmare of festival toilets, our long-drop composting toilets are the bees-knees of outdoor toilets! Sustainable and environmentally friendly..

Hot Outdoor Showers: Enjoy a refreshing end to your adventurous day with hot showers under the tree canopy/stars.

Firepit: No outdoor experience would be complete without the chance to decompress and share some tall stories around the firepit.

Biodiversity monitoring equipment: Each basecamp is equipped with camera traps, reptile mats, small mammal traps (live catch/release) and bat detectors. Our staff will show you how to use them in order to open your eyes to what’s around you, but which is often hidden. We also have a small library of ID guides and reference books.
The wildlife
The Bioasis is home to a diverse range of wildlife, supported by a mix of habitats including wetlands, woodlands and meadows. Birds, mammals, insects, and reptiles thrive in this wildlife haven, which also provides a refuge for several endangered species.
We work with a diverse range of partners to ensure we look after this very special place, reflecting a commitment to conservation, and a practical, real-world example of how ecosystems, farms, businesses and nature can be restored and flourish side by side.
